Sylvia once said, "Excellent teachers showered on to us like meteors: Biology teachers holding up human brains, English teachers inspiring us with a personal ideological fierceness about Tolstoy and Plato, Art teachers leading us through the slums of Boston, then back to the easel to hurl public school gouache with social awareness and fury.” But we believe, not everyone standing at that platform deserves stanchion.

While conducting events, we had a lot of bitter sweet experience while dealing with the teachers. It is really sad to know that students look up to teachers as a mentor and then teachers fail to act responsible. Recently we conducted an Ekta 20 at Shri Samarth education society, Jogeshwari on 5th October, 2019. Here we benefited 489 Kids in a day. Managing so many kids at a time is a huge task and whenever we conduct an event, teachers have always helped us as its their responsibility too. But the case was not the same here as the staff behaved quite irresponsible and looked least bothered for the children. Our love for children and our work, kept us going and we completed the event.

It was an initiative with maximum awareness in minimum span of time. Kids that participated were from kindergarten and 1st-10th. Teaching becomes more interesting when kids are equally interested and enthusiastic. Such environment was felt here, especially, the girls here were keenly interested to know of things and participated equally. When we began our awareness session on menstruation and they vivaciously answered all the questions. We also spoke on good touch and bad touch.

Bringing on more effective to the program we also discussed things with them and keep a questionnaire session where they all openly discuss things and tell us the problem they go through where we instead try our level best to give out them the best solution we could. We also had an aptitude test for them. For making program more interesting, we had extempore session where a topic is given to the kids and they have to talk about it and the knowledge they have which help them to sharp and brush the information they have.

Lastly, gifts were distributed for the best answers and responses from the kids to appreciate the willingness of participation they had in them. For the successful event that happened and touched hearts of many, Kartavya would like to thank all the supporters who took a great effort to make the event cherishing enough.
