We all talk about girls education and how it is important for a country to develop. But still there are N number of girls who are illiterate or opt for minimum study. Women education is a catch all term which refers to the state of primary, secondary, tertiary and health education in girls and women. There are 65 Million girls out of school across the globe; majority of them are in the developing and underdeveloped countries. All the countries of the world, especially the developing and underdeveloped countries must take necessary steps to improve their condition of female education; as women can play a vital role in the nation’s development.
But the sadder part is that may girls around don't want to get educated and have no dreams. Recently, we kept an initiative at Eklavya primary and secondary Aashram school, Palghar. There were more girls presented there and looked quite enthusiastic for it. But while having conversation with their professors, we came to know that the girls there get their selves married at very early age and what kept us stunt was all this happens by their choice as they don' want to study further and they feel marriage is the only way to get out of it. Hence, when they are bored or tired of schooling, they ask their parents to get themselves married to a guy of same age, who again in uneducated. Later all she left is,with household work and farming.
On been heard of all this, we tried explaining each an every girl about the importance of education and how it can save and change their lives completely. Deep inside we all we hoping that even if one girl out of so many get inspired by this, we will consider ourselves as lucky enough. This event was about benefiting lives of many but maybe changing lives of some and bringing them out from darkness to light. This event was marked as a memorable for each and one presented there and we are glad that we could witness something out of the box.
